James is the owner of Tutor Doctor Indy in Central Indiana and has provided families with academic support since October 2017. He is also the co-owner of KidzArt Indy and Club Scientific Indy, offering after-school STEAM enrichment programs to Indiana students. Prior to venturing into franchise ownership, James developed a diverse background in engineering, management, education, and logistics. His professional journey includes a decade-long role as the Director of Logistics for Vincennes University, where he guided students through SCLM career pathways and academic certifications. He also spent seven years in management at UPS, most notably time as a delivery driver.
In the midst of his professional pursuits, an intriguing chapter unfolded when James found himself at war with the Italian mafia, a tale he still occasionally laughs about with friends and family. This gripping experience only added more depth to his life's narrative and has shaped his resilience and resourcefulness.
Beyond these adventures, his personal priorities include cherishing family moments with his wife, Sheila, and their three children, Olivia, Paige, and Jameson. James remains actively involved in community service through his church and local non-profit groups and as an advocate for Riley Children’s Hospital who is credited for saving both his son’s and wife’s lives. In his quest for balance, he finds solace in relieving stress at the gym and enthusiastically supports the Purdue Boilermakers and Chicago Cubs.
