Kimberly Selchan is a passionate advocate for helping today's youth transition into tomorrow's successful adults. She established her Tutor Doctor region, Chandler-Gilbert in Arizona, USA, in January 2019 to fulfill this mission. Her business strategy relies strongly on collaboration, resourcefulness, systems, process and a diverse team that includes overseas virtual assistants along with a few local team members. Although she lives on the opposite side of the country, she and her team have built a network of friends and referral partners with local businesses and Chambers of Commerce. In her inaugural year, she reached her $100,000 revenue goal, and last year exceeded $500,000, showcasing her ability to work smart and tirelessly to meet and instill trust in as many people in the community as possible and grow the local brand without running paid ad campaigns.
Over the past six years, she displayed exceptional growth, achieving approximately 300% increase in revenue. Kimberly's talent for collaboration within the franchise and community involvement was recognized in 2021 and 2023 when she won the Marketing Innovation award at DBA, and this year she was nominated for the Customer Service and Franchisee of the Year awards. She also serves on the Franchise Advisory Council and is grateful for the opportunity to be a voice of her peers.
In addition to her business success, Kimberly is the largest provider of tutoring services to teenagers in foster care in Arizona, a testament to her commitment to making a positive social impact, and as a result, she was awarded the Better Business Bureau's "4Good" seal.
